I paid 2k less than I was willing to for my car because I had cash in hand. I paid less 5k less than wholesale on my 1999 Expedition EB because I had a check from the bank in my pocket. If you can make arrangements beforehand and he knows you are serious, make him an offer that you feel comfortable with. That is a good find if it is all he says it is.
